Slow

Okay, basket weave cable is really slow. And it's really, really hard to watch foreign movies while working on this scarf. This is not just a joke about concentration and cabling. Because the only movies I watch? Are FOREIGN. And I stubbornly refuse to dub.

That sound you hear is god laughing at me.

Anyway, I'm no brooklyntweed, but here is my scarf progress so far. Taken with my sextacular new camera and a 50mm lens.

My favorite feature of this camera is the artistic blurring I can achieve. This way, none of you can see my miscrossed cables. I love technology.

What sort of a camera did you get? I've been half-assedly hunting for a good one since I too want to blur things.

Nice pic! I also wanted to ask what type of camera you got, but another Jen beat me to it...

It's a Nikon D40x, 10 megapixels worth of SCHWING.

Great picture of the scarf. I love the color of the piece against the dark background. Fantastic!

I was cabling (or trying to) while watching A Better Tomorrow (or trying to) and the results are pretty much what you'd expect: HAHAHAHAHAHA! blended with a little frustrated weeping.

But you've solved all my problems: no one's getting their actual flaw-filled garments, they're getting beautiful soft-focus pictures of the garment instead. We're going put this whole "it's the thought that counts" line to the test in a very real way this year.
