Hot and Steamy Love

Ok, I admit, I've been in hiding. Since I'm far too cheap to hire a therapist to cure my winter blahs and the internet has started screening my calls ("Oh god, it's her. Make her stop emo-blogging. I'M GOING TO START EMO-BLOGGING."), I decided I would do what normal, healthy people do when they're in a funk. That's right, I parked on the couch in my unwashed sweatpants and watched TV and ignored everyone until I felt better.

You know what has helped equalize me? This fucking cold weather. I hate cold weather. Finally, something worthy of true complaint! My withered heart has shrunk three sizes and all is right in the world. *contemptuous contented sigh*

Cold weather and THIS:

My HoMedics Perfect Steam. (huhuhuhuhuh, HOmedics. Huhuhuhuhuh. I am an MTV cartoon character that hasn't been relevant for years. Fire! Fire!)

Seriously, y'all, household appliances are my happy. (NOTE TO BOYFRIEND: APPLIANCES ARE NOT FOR GIFT GIVING. Failure to comply will be immediate grounds for termination of holiday/birthday blowjobs.) Garment steamers, for the uninitiated, are pure love. You want one.

This model keeps the steam going for up to 40 minutes. Steams the wrinkles out of a sweater in under five minutes. Imagine what it can do for blocking! I haven't ironed anything other than a pair of pants since I bought it. LOVE.

Once, Monkey King broke temporarily made the steamer stop working. I then snapped his spine in half, punched a hole in his face and broke a bottle off in his >>CENSORED<< until he fixed it. That's how much I love this product.

You know, maybe it wouldn't be so bad if your significant other bought you one of these for Christmas. I'm sure you could get over the pain of withholding the holiday/birthday oral sex for a sweet garment steamer.

A Short, Short Knitting Break

Ok, life is starting to get pissed at me. Life is all like, "Hi, you were supposed to attend to me." And I was like, "Well, I meant to..." And then life said, "Bullshit, Kim, you were knitting." Guilty as charged.

So, for the next few days I am going to work on life stuff. Like the online classes I signed up for through work. I should probably start on them. And the ironing too. God, I hate ironing. I am so making my future kids do this. Um, and finishing my book club book. I'm halfway done! And I should probably take a stab at some sort of exercise.

Yeesh, this is going to be fun.

I do have good knitting news! Hourglass is moving fast, I'm already up to the yoke! Sleeves, here I come. I will be using the 2 circular needle method of knitting in the round, I will let you know how this goes. Possibly, bad.
