Finally, those Damn Pictures of France

I am really, really tardy with these. I blame being busy at work to the point of being mentally exhausted when I get home. Also, I am lazy.

So I discovered that I can make my own Photoshop actions and preparing these photos just went from an hour and a half to 10 seconds. Woo! Technology! Note that I still forgot to put a border around most of these. Um...boo humanity!

So, to start, we were staying in the Bastille area. There's a few bridges around there, and a lot of people like to do street performances on them. Cuz they're cool like that. I'm not 100% sure what exactly is going on here, but the cute muppet was being manipulated by the cute guy to look like he's playing a French rock song.

This is one of the many, MANY disturbing anthropomorphic ads plastered EVERYWHERE for Orangina. It's natural and has pulp. And a fig leaf-covered abomination.

We also went to the Louvre. I got to see the Mona Lisa and smell a lot of BO.

2536806717_0fea25123e.jpg

This is one of the flea markets in the enormous La Puces. I forget what this particular market was called, but it was like your exact fantasy flea market complete with everything from doll parts to human skulls.

Eiffel Tower. The lines for this were fucking insane. We did not ride the elevator, as we were too busy being elbowed in the chest by much more aggressive tourists.

Oh, this is from the flea market too. I told you, PERFECT.

I love this statue I found at the Louvre (it's Cupid and Psyche). I also loved being a foot taller than all the Korean tourists crammed around it.

2537622736_84967b1bac.jpg

And this is what happens when you let me loose around "culture." But in my defense, there was weiner everywhere. You couldn't avoid it. You'd turn around and bam! Cock.

Carousels seemed to be really popular (well, I guess compared to DC), I took this one in Paris, but I saw one in Honfleur as well.

This is a homeless man with a bag of cats. FYI, this picture cost me 2 Euro to take. He is holding it in his grubby fist.

This is some adorable racism. So cute, so appalling.

Okay, that's it for the choice pictures. The other 700+ pictures are either repeats, or just not that great. I will try to get around to posting some of the other stuff we did. Definitely more of those awesome Orangina ads.

Great photos! The one of the homeless cat man is especially beautiful, and the matter-of-fact way you described it is hilarious!

You went to Honfleur as well? Nice...
Is it really, really wrong of me to want those rice bowls?

I love it, the bag of cats to the strange bowls. Way more exciting than anything going on in TN.

Speaking of weiners, did you see the, um, homage to Abelard on the pillar in the Conciergerie?

I love Paris, even without the omnipresent penises (penii?) I haven't been in about 8-9 years now and seeing your pictures makes me think I'm due for a trip back. :)

Holy crap, that's disturbing. I can't believe Orangina is using furry porn to advertise their product. Still, I loved all your trip pictures and I hope to see more terrifying ads.

Have you seen the animated Orangina commercial that the abomination is from? If not, and if you happen to be feeling masochistic, google "disturbing Orangina commercial". It shows up right away. It is eight shades of wrong and not kid or work safe. Of course, you'll know that when you see comments like, "Heck, I'm a furry and I STILL find this disturbing!"

What cool photos. I can't believe how many other tourists there are. But why am I so surprised? It IS Paris, after all.

Oh man, that bag of cats is one of the best pictures I've seen lately. Thanks for sharing!

What great shots (other than the snarling homeless guy because, dude, he was disturbing).

HAHAHAHAHA So THATS how you get cats from one location to another. God I never thought of just stuffing them in a bag & lugging them with me. How did I ever survive?! You are much nicer too, I would have taken the picture with out the 2 eruos. But then again, I'm a big woman, married to a big man so I get away with being an ass like that.

nice pictures!

LOL @ the last picture.

that orangina ad is bizarre. it is nice to see an ad for once in the last five years, though, that does not feature a waxed, hairless male model, as real men do actually have hair. the bear head takes it to another level, though.

awesome recap of paris.

you pictures from paris and captions were great! makes me really want to go and see all those penii (that's just a sillly spelling!).

orangina..ha! don't we want all our hair men to wear masks?
