I present to you: Vaguely Clear Photos! Amazing what a tripod will do for your picture quality. Sadly, the tripod will not put makeup on you, or do your hair. Or make you change your stained gauchos for more flattering pants. What the hell, tripod?!
Le Front:

Le Back (hey, tripod, could you clean my apartment? Thanks.):

Not too much blah blah this time around. I used Rowan Cork, which is now discontinued, but is a lovely yarn. Size 11 needles, my now typical method of using two pairs so I can knit in the round and try on as I go. Oh, and this was knit from the top down (if you're just tuning in), my first time ever doing this. I found this technique interesting, and it does have it's place. I'll probably do this again, but with MUCH better maths next time. Because...
This is not my favorite sweater. It's okay, it's wearable. I think my main issue is that it's rather big, and I like my sweaters to cut me in half. Er, maybe not that tight, but I definitely like my "lift and separate" to show (seriously, what is the point of underwire, otherwise?). I also threw a big cowl neck on it. So I can intimidate predators by looking larger than I actually am.
Final rating: C+.
In happier knitting news, I had great success with a tam hat. I made this one for Monkey King's mom to match a scarf I gave her a while back, but I'm really tempted to keep it.
I like how my camera decided the fan and knitted toys needed to be SUPER CRISP and me and my hat? What are we doing in this picture? Anyway, I used about 1.5 balls of Sublime cashmere/merino/silk blend. So lovely. So want to keep.
And finally, a bit of stash busting for me. Another scarf. I have about a ball and a half of silky wool to get rid of, so we'll see how much scarf we get out of it.
Well, that's all for now. This summer is KILLING me with the heat, and the humidity, and the allergies. One of these days I will get around to posting a "Seven Weird Things" meme that I was tagged for (I didn't forget!) and doing cooler blog entries. You know, the ones where I complain. Humorously.

Your description of the cowl neck made me laugh out loud.
"Screen On The Green" is tonight! Take some Claritan and bring some light knitting!
this is fantastic. great job all around.
everything looks very yummy and it's inspiring
me to start knitting something.
kudos to you!!
looking forward to more great pictures from
your new camera.
Regardless, one must suffer for fashion. I like it! I like the stripes. And any tighter, that bulky yarn would definitely make you look larger than you are. I think it makes you appear perfectly Kim-sized.
And what's up with those mosquitoes? I had a bite on my leg that turned into a huge welt! EW!
Miss you!
Love,
Asya
Anyway, the sweater is very nice. What pattern did you use for the tam?
