The Sogo Hobo Bag

Is done! Well, sort of done. You see, I've completed all the knitting and finishing, but my bag needs a liner. I thought I could skate by without one, but I got hit with the reality stick that an unfelted knit bag? Is kind of full of holes. But the knitting is done, the pattern is written, and here it is!

I'm super happy with the way this came out, the dimensions, the shape, all of it. STOKED, I SAY. I did have to totally cannibalize a purse strap, however, as my DIY strap totally sucked ass. And I do mean Le Boot-aye.

See all that yarn at my feet? That's the stash enhancement that's been going on this week at the House of Skein. Behold, my extravagance. Now I can't afford to breath air for the rest of the year, but that's okay. I CAN STILL KNIT.

One more pic for the road. I'm sorry about my face, it's stuck that way.

Looking good, girl! It's much bigger than I thought. I'm totally diggin' it! And although you had to cannibalize the strap, the old purse lives on!

And breathing? Highly overrated.

Wow that bag is very cute and stylish. What is the matter with the strap??

The bag *is* awesome, though I'm surprised you need a lining with that stitch pattern. It looks pretty solid.

Do you have plans for all of that yarn? I'm most curious about the fuschia tweed sitting on top-- it looks lonely.

Nice.

And what's the green yarn?? Very curious.

There's always this insane part of my brain that justifies big stash enhancements by saying, "I can sell it on destash if I have to and get all the money back."

lol

A perfect bag to take on a vacation, don't you think? You can stuff all the little things you buy while walking around!

The bag, she is so nifty looking! The stitch pattern is catchy, too.

Psst: download Frostwire (http://www.frostwire.com/) and look up ad*be Ph*tosh*p (filling in the asterisks with whatever letters you personally deem appropriate, of course). Phurtershawp for free!

Or so I've heard.

haha, when i saw the first picture I giggled at the yarn at your feet, because that's how my room looks...yarn everywhere! But you probably pulled it out specifically to photograph it, mine just hangs around all over the place, all the time. Great bag!

awesome bag! you should line it with some ridiculously printed fabric that peeks out when you're gaily swinging it around.
