Cashmere Neckwarmer
by Kim
Cashmere. I'd have to sell my car (not a good idea) or a kidney (hey, I've got two) to finance a sweater, but one skein, I can swing that. Here's how I did it.
Size:
25" x 4.5"
Materials:
One skein of Grignasco Cashmere Soft (100% Cashmere)
Size 13 needles
1 cool button, 1.5"
Tapestry needle
Gauge:
3 stitches and 3 rows = 1"
Special Note:
One skein of the yarn called for should yield about 25", be sure to leave enough for the i-cord button hole.
Directions:
CO 15 stitches
Row 1: K1, slip 1 wyif, repeat until end.
Row 2: Purl.
Row 3: K2, *slip 1 wyif, k1 repeat from * to the end.
Row 4: Purl.
Repeat these four rows until you reach the desired length.
I-cord buttonhole: Along the cast on edge, starting at the 5th stitch "in" pick up and knit 3 stitches. Work i-cord for approximately 2.5", bind off. Seam i-cord to cast on edge.

Block severely.
Sew button 10-11" away from cast off edge, 5 stitches away from the edge. Please measure how far away from the cast off edge you want to sew your button, you don't want to asphyxiate yourself!
